Choosing the right technology for the job

Technology and Best Practices application is a key component for successfully connecting with web visitors.

Website designers and technology consultants are looking for more successful ways to engage their web visitors and take them down the best paths to conversion. To do this it is important that the conversation with the web visitor be a one-to-one dialogue. To successfully engage customers, websites need to promote the interactive flow of information and get web visitors talking to the company.

Web 2.0 comprises richer, more interactive tools to target new audiences. Companies are tapping into this developing field of customer engagement resulting in new business opportunity. Aside from Rich Internet applications (RIA's) and hosted internet services, Web 2.0 includes collaboration tools such as social networking and collaborative tagging which are creating communications opportunities which are pushing companies to develop and deploy next generation applications and services via the web.

But aside from being more sophisticated, today's web users are also more impatient and require tools which support their ability to find and utilize the information which fits their specific needs.
